Tigerbait doesn't sunshine pump so there's got to be something to it. I really doubt he comes to Ole Miss but it's nice to be in the running for top basketball prospects.

Well Jerry Meyer, who is probably the only guy remotely close to a well-connected basketball recruiting analyst, says his very good source thinks it's a "done deal". Newman has had a relationship with LSU since Robert Kirby was here.

I don't think LSU would have a chance if it didn't have Ben Simmons and Antonio Blakeney signed. LSU would finish with the #1 basketball class, close to home, mom lives in LA, etc. Another key thing is that LSU wants him at point guard, while Kentucky and Kansas want him as a SG. I'm sure he'll play both, but he doesn't like Kentucky's depth chart.

So yeah, LSU has very, very good shot at landing him. It'd be nice to make the tournament as far as perception goes. We'll see I guess


As for football, it's looking more and more like Greedy Williams will be a reb. LSU is anticipating Trayvon Mullen to commit somewhat soon. The pressure for the instate cb's is going to crank up big-time, and most think Kristian Fulton will jump on board. Shyheim Cater will be recruited as a safety

I think LSU has a good chance with Newman but his recruitment is far from over. Courtney Cronin is probably about as close as can be with Newman as a reporter she says his recruitment won't really start til after the state championship game.

Yeah it doesn't go into effect until 2016. They did it to give all the teams enough time to plan accordingly.

All I've read is that he's probably committing during the Mcondal's AA game

We had Clemson scheduled for this season, but they cancelled it.

As much as I'd like to play Clemson, Watson is a beast and they are scary.

They claim the ACC made them cancel it, but I feel like they scheduled us when we were bad, and when we improved they backed out.

The MSU recruiting page will hit 10 pages sometime this month.

Yeah, a lot of rebs hate on clemson for doing Clemson things which I have never understood as an OM fan. Clemson with Dabo model is very similar to what Freeze is trying to do. A lot people mock Clemson when essentially Dabo is recruiting at Freeze's level and has been in the BCS discussion multiple times already. Just because they haven't won anything substantial doesn't mean that Dabo is doing a poor job. If we win 10 games next year with no trophy besides the egg, is that a failure? It would be the first time we won 10 regular season games since '62 and doing it just four years removed from 2-10. If that happened we'd hear it from other fan bases about how we can't get to the top and will always be mediocre not realizing that mediocre apparently means going to multiple BCS equivalent games in consecutive seasons.

It's just stupid trolling and I feel our fans do the same when it comes to Clemson. I don't know, I just kind of look at them as the OM of the ACC. They have more talent than they've ever had, young, religious coach who has taken sole possession of #2 in the ACC.

Unless your program has already been to the top (Auburn) then it takes a while to build up to consecutive championship level program. First you have to win the state, Clemson and OM are just now doing that. Then you grow from there. Fan base grows, more money comes in, facilities improve, etc. It takes time, but enjoy the ride becuase it looks frustrating to hate every season that's not a national title like what LSU fans seem to do.
