Yeah but we don't have a lot of room in this recruiting class don't want to fill it up with guys who are just looking for an offer.

It's also April bro... Doesn't matter how well your recruiting season starts.... Matters how it finishes

True, but everyone finished well last year. We were in the bottom half of the conference in recruiting.

Is Eli Johnson any good or did we just offer because of his dad?
State offered him as a sophomore and why the hell would we offer him because his dad is our 247 mod?

He is a big kid who has been privately working with Terrance Metcalf for sometime now. He should be an above-average or greater player.

They were all laser timed meaning that the numbers are about a 10th of a second slower than hand held. 4.38 would be a typical fastest time at a handheld camp so yeah if you think actual times mean something is off, you're right.
I would agree that laser times are always generally slower.
The point I was trying to get across was just that there were a lot of kids at that camp that posted less than stellar times.
I looked up the weather for Birmingham that day and it was between 40(min)-56(mean)-64(max) degrees, 20 mph winds, and it had rained the day before.
Also, it's 4 and a half months after their season was over. They're not going to be in top cardio shape at this point. Most kids have probably been in the weight room trying to gain weight to this point in the year.
I say all that to say it's a bit of a reach to single out one kid and draw much of a conclusion from it. He could have just had a bad day.
Fletcher is obviously an outlier and yes, he is a freak.

You've been around long enough to know its April and NSD is next February, so don't make stupid statements about how we're "behind" everyone.

You're welcome for the non-frickhead reply.
He is only 15 and, hopefully, could be able to grow into his frame more. Nonetheless, private lessons from an all-American OT certainly do not hurt anything.

Im going by last season as well. We started slow and finished slow. And like I said we finished in the bottom half of the SEC. Although, it was top 20 which is great. We happen to play the other teams in this conference.
It was also just a general comment that seems to have gotten everyone defensive. I should have just posted a dumb gif that had nothing to do with recruiting. Those always seem to garner praise.

I, too, was underwhelmed with our finish last season.
This season doesn't look too great as well with top Mississippi talent favoring Baton Rouge and Starkville early on.
However, Freeze is a good recruiter and, while we likely won't finish in the top five again, we should be a lock for the top fifteen.
We need a good, strong season and a recruits will take notice. Otherwise, we're bottom half.
