Just an excuse to riot and loot. What in the hell does protesting against perceived injustice have to do with stealing flat screen TVs, shoes, and liquor? Black on black killing over trivial matters happen every day and yet they riot when a white police office kills a black man in the line of duty.

Sadness, disappointment.

Felt the sand shift just a little under my feet and that my climb got just a tiny bit more difficult (lost a tiny bit of ground). Not a MAJOR change. But, a little breeze more headwind.

Regret that a REASONABLE grievance lost an opportunity at being addressed and incrementally improved.

Fear that 'confirmation bias' has gotten support and I can't fault it or those that have it.

That there would be more talk of the "black community" and some of my friends and loved ones would again be associated with these shitheads who act like animals just because of their skin color.

I agree to an extent, but you can't tell me that if baltimore had some even semi-remotely competent leadership that things wouldnt' have been as bad as they were. Of course there would still be looting and riots, you can't stop that. But you could damn sure try to cut it off before it got to where it did.

I thought shouldn't all police be on a strict "don't kill black men" orders for a little while?

And I also thought shouldn't black men be on strict "stop resisting arrest and running from the police" orders for a little while?

#2 would just about eliminate #1.

JUST DON'T RUN FROM THE FRICKING POLICE, WHETHER YOU'VE DONE ANYTHING WRONG OR NOT!!! It rarely turns out well to do so.

Also, I doubt half the protesters are even protesting the Gray incident. Just looking for an excuse to go ape shite crazy, loot and burn shite.

The Baltimore incident had nothing to do with running from the police. They beat him while he was restrained and in custody. That happens a lot. And it wouldn't be eliminated by people not running or not resisting.
