I was raised Christian, I identify as such though I've had a lapse in faith and I don't hold any hostility toward Christians but people that come out and immediately say that when you first meet them usually turn out to be intolerable.

I can't remember the last time someone just came up and said that to me, but I hear people describe somebody as being a good Christian when they're telling me about that person.

Me too, and I believe in God. Southern Baptists are usually the culprits (at least in my experience), and I've had some not even realize that Lutheran is Christian when I have told them about my religious upbringing.
