Guy I work with has those Nike Combat boots.
They look ridiculously comfortable.
But I'm still partial to my Red Wing 877s when I'm in the field.

I have an infantry grunt buddy who said they held up through a year in Iraq, so I'd assume they're pretty durable. I can't say first-hand, though.

Buddy of mine has worn the same pair on two consecutive deployments and swears by 'em.

No joke I live two minutes down the road from the exact place where McVeigh loaded the bomb into that uHaul, it's really creepy to think about. Something about this area makes people lose their minds.

Two AF deployments? Those six months in Vegas would sure be tough on boots I'd bet.

I don't mind wearing the heavier boots, but she wasn't a fan (she doesn't need 'em for Intel anyways).
I've usually got my pants loaded down with random shite stuffed in the cargo pockets anyways, so what's a few extra ounces on the feet, right?

Sometimes I wish the pockets weren't so huge so I wouldn't shove every-fricking-thing-I-could in there.

I know a lot of folks that wear the Oakleys and love them.
Until I got these Nikes I had the same shitty boots I got issued at basic.
I was too cheap until recently to make the switch. I should have done it way sooner.
ETA - Those do look very "teethy".

Yep. There's not much that I've found that WON'T fit in there.

I actually agree. Only time I ever liked black boots was with the old BDUs. They looked boss when shined
