Is this a serious question?

OP still never answered the question if it was jersey season or not. It makes a huge difference on what is acceptable.

I dont go around wearing a jersey, but I do have a couple of them. One AU home and one away (from the BCS NC game). I will occasionally wear one for a game.

Why is this a big deal? My usual game day attire is a golf shirt and khakis, or blue jeans. Khaki shorts if its August.

I was never allowed to wear a t-shirt or jersey to games, even as a little kid. My dad always told me that as a fan you are a representative of the school you cheer for, so it's the least you can do to at least look presentable. I guess presentable means different things to different people, but I wouldn't wear a jersey.

People can say it's feminine or whatever to judge other men based on what they wear, but in reality that's happening all the time. If I walked into an interview in a t-shirt and gym shorts, the interviewers would judge the shite out of me whether they were male or female. I know a football game isn't the same, but there's appropriate attire for every situation.

Understand the point you are trying to make, but the comparison isn't apples to apples. Interviewing for a job is a judgment on you by the potential employer.
A man judging what another man is wearing in a public setting is feminine as hell!
That shite is what women, children, and insecure lil boys do to each other.

To each his own though I suppose

Wear what you feel comfortable wearing. It's not a damn job interview. It's a fricking football game.

I made sure to say that I know it's different. I wouldn't wear a suit to a football game.

It's also a huge social event for fans, some of whom I don't want to look like a slob in front of. It's not like a polo or button down shirt is uncomfortable. JMO. I realize some may disagree.

Don't wear football jerseys. Usually go team polo. See nothing wrong with baseball jerseys though.

If it's not your name on the back, and you're not on the team...leave it for the kiddos. Quit playing pretend.

I don't wear another person's work uniform, that is exactly what you're doing when you wear a jersey. I'm a big fan of my regular doctor, smart guy, but I don't walk around rocking a lab coat with his name on it.

I'll wear my USMNT jersey, because 'MERICA. Besides that I'm never going to play dress up as an overpaid pro/ college kid.

If you're under the age of 30, sure.

It's something I grew out of.

Birth-10= Let'em wear it wherever

10-15= Begin to restrict jersey wearing in public.

16 and up= Get your big boy khakis on and transition to the well dressed phase of your life.
