CAS:

In light of todays events, I'd like to issue you an apology. My initial remarks that started our argument, while intended to be inflammatory and over the top in order to get a rise out of whoever would take the bait, aren't entirely representative of my views. Sure, I definitely do not like entitlement programs and I stand by my stance on that but I am obviously aware it's not just minorities on welfare. All the other vitriol and idiocy we tossed around just isn't worth it either when you consider what's going on out there right now.

The bottom line is we've seen some actual, completely reprehensible acts with real world consequences committed this week by whites against blacks and by blacks against whites. In light of that, my cavalier attitude about this "just being the internet" seems pretty shitty in hindsight. Even if it seemed innocuous to me, it certainly isnt helping anything. While there are still many of my talking points I will stand behind, overall this crap just seems foolish and silly in comparison when families are out there suffering over this garbage.

This country needs both sides to come together and find a solution to our differences, be it political, racial, socioeconomic, etc through intelligent and calm discourse. My acting like a jackass and going over the top just for the sake of argument seems pretty fricking stupid in light of all that's happened this week. Long story short, I apologize for going out of bounds and over the top.
