We do have conversations but I agree maybe they need to be more in depth.

Your story is kind of ambiguous. Are these your options?
A) Stay with current job and keep current pay
Or
B) Take a new job with a pay cut?
Or do you have no job at all currently?

I have been out on workers comp after having two surgeries.So I have a check right now she is worried that when released my comp. will lay me off.My boss does not think that will happen but he is going to get more info especially now that they have been awarded this new contract and I am there only employee in this area.

Well that makes a lot more sense as to what her concern is. I could see where she'd want you to look at something more secure if it's up in the air like that.

Yeah I can see that but that pay deficit is a major concern.

Ahh okay. Yeah, the worst thing a company can do is lay someone off after they've been on workers comp. I think there are return-to-work laws, although I'm not sure about the details.
