I've read your posts about a lot of things and we disagree about a few things but I respect your opinion so I'll bite, are you being serious? This may or may not apply to my current situation

Or there's a small chance there was a lot of family money involved and you gotta lock that down.

I've got a friend with this current situation. He's been dating a girl who's family has private jets and shite. We've been telling him to lock it down for like the past year

The odds of finding a good looking girl who both isn't annoying and isn't a slouch in bed is a rarity. Most people end up settling for two out of three

I've told this story before, but I knew I'd picked the right one when my wife came home a couple weeks after we were married from her job, slammed the door and said "Let's frick". I found out later she had an intense argument with a fellow teacher that day and was pissed

Had an opportunity such as that to be with a girl that was somewhat into pills and pretty much crazy, I will regret my restraint for the rest of my life. Best I figure, even a quick divorce would've been worth something

Ok, I'll amend that. I was not ready to make a huge I-have-to-live-with-this-forever decision at 21/22.

As long as she didn't swell up after marriage sounds like a best case scenario

And that's fair enough! There are no panaceas when it comes to shite like this, IMO. Some folks are ready at that age, some aren't, some screw themselves over by jumping the gun, others by waiting too long.

Only people who know for sure you and her.

I'm 26 and I'm not sure how I would feel if my girlfriend started putting me on the spot about marriage.

No way in hell I was ready for it at 21 or 22. Some people are though.

Yeah, I forget that I'm actually older than much of the demographic here. I'm used to Texags where the average poster is mid-30s/early-40s.

Goddamn young'uns

Use your BBC powers Tbird. It has saved you before. No reason it shouldn't save you now.

My parents always told me it was illegal to be married until you were 30. Solid advice, and both of my brothers and I followed it to a 'T'.

Thanks to military obligations both myself and Mrs. T would've been fricked if we'd waited that long

It all worked out, though, so I can't complain.

You want to talk about some hasty idiotic marriages? The military is full of them.

Not you T-Bird but you got me thinking and while the Air Force is special I'm sure you know what I mean.
