Why do people believe Andy Kaufman is dead?

There are 8 people who have come forward and admitted they or someone they've heard of has had direct contact with Kaufman since 2003. His sister admits her roll in the prank.

The idea of faking his death was a ploy to keep his name in the news after he was gone. Guys like Andy are brilliant. But they're also narcissistic attention whores who cannot stand the idea of not being the center of attention. Especially when they're not.

The real question is,: why would anybody give a frick?
