Lakers are my favorite. After that it would be Texans, Astros, Red Wings, and Seahawks.

Any team my kids play on. My youngest -in elementary school - plays flag football (they lost their first game today) and my oldest is an elite high school wrestler.

Nice. Think he'll get a scholarship? I got 5th in state finals my junior year of HS and then quit for dumb reasons.

Got a letter from the new coach at Huntington College in Montgomery last week. They are opening a Div. III program next year - which will be the only one in Alabama.

He will probably head north though - maybe upstate New York. He has gotten alot of interest since we traveled overseas this summer for him to wrestle - he did pretty well. We'll see how this season goes.

I didn't get invited to nationals but would have likely gotten raped like a newcomer to Pelican Bay.

That is what happened to him....
Idk why he got invited as well because he wasn't that good in HS either. He wrestled at 150 or 165 I believe

I've told my wife several times that if we have a son he isn't playing contact sports. He's gonna play something that he can do for life like golf or tennis. I wish I had just settled with those.

Good point. OK so baseball will be in there too and it won't make him feel left out of the "popular" sports.

turn him into a lefty, my mom tells me I was a lefty and my dad hated it so he would tie my left arm to my waist to teach me to throw/write with my right hand

I would need help coaching him at a young age. I never played baseball and never watch it. I only enjoy it when I'm at the game.

Baseball, the most pure sport in the world... something so simple, it takes grace to play. Once you gain an appreciation for it you never lose it, it has held together this country for decades
