I live in St. Louis and work relatively close to Ferguson. Its funny because if it wasn't on the local news constantly I wouldn't have any idea it was happening. The rest of the metro area here is going about their daily lives. Technically the average person here in STL is as close to all of this as everyone who is watching around the country.

Meh, there may be some hopped up noise down by the capital building (I'll see it from my window) but no real nonsense will abound.

I'd worry more about parts of Birmingham to be honest.

I live in a historic district with a lotta rich folk and a lotta trashy folk. may go either way for my neighborhood.

If it's in Mississippi it will be west Jackson, which might be the worst ghetto in the southeastern United States. People won't even drive in that area in the daytime. The delta is a joke by comparison.

It's crazy how fast the crime demographics and crime rates change as soon as you cross the Pearl River.

Can you see the front steps or the entrance by the Goat Hill gift shop?

It would appear that we're very close neighbors.

I can honestly now say that I have never seen a bigger bunch of hypocrites than among the aggie fans.

But I do know that some of my Black friends who go to Clemson are somewhat outraged by this.

Hopefully they burn down only abandoned buildings... There are several in Orange Mound, Frayser and Whitehaven that come to mind.

Birmingham is in the running for the 2016 DNC.

I don't expect any problems in Alabama.
