I've been overweight, got tired of being a fatass so I went to the gym and stopped being a lazy fatass. Simple as that and its the honest truth.

So all you have to do is apply a little will-power; pick yourself up by your bootstraps?
You know nothing about addiction.
You know nothing about addiction.

Addiction to what? Twinkies? Corn dogs? Not getting off of the couch?

Compulsive eating is often a component of depression. Many people suffering from depression often eat to relieve psychological stress. It is a clinical disorder called binge eating disorder (bed).
Wasn't saying all obese people had this disorder; just that some do. Some obese people are just gluttons.
But by all means, shower them with scorn, derision and ridicule, if it makes you feel better.

All these fat people aren’t depressed. 99.9% of them are lazy and eat garbage.
Our society has given an expensive sounding name to every “disorder” there is out there, which in turn gives a lot of people a lot of excuses to act in a certain fashion.
Are some of them actual disorders? Yes. I was married to someone with undiagnosed borderline personality disorder. But what her therapist did diagnose her with gave her an out, in her mind, to be a total count. In reality, she was just a classic bitch.
So call it what you want, but I know what I see: fat people on scooters buying garbage to shove in their pie holes while sitting on the couch burning zero calories.
Disclaimer: I was fat when I was younger. I quit eating shite, got off of the couch, and got in shape.

I beat addiction the exact same way as mentioned above. I made a conscious decision to stop the destructive behavior. The people in my life that loved me told me to stop or else.

Dopamine is a helluva drug. Dopamine is our body's pleasure hormone and is released in a good many destructive activities that people become addicted to. Addiction physically changes your brain. When excess dopamine is released, the neurons build more and more dopamine receptors. This is why addicts need more and more and more. So to stop, I litterly had to rewire my brain. After a few months the urges and cravings disappeared for me. With family and a good external support group, I beat my demons.
This group helped me a bunch.
Celebrate recovery

I’ve been there too feel you’re pain on that one. Probably the worst possible mental disorder for a wife to have.

The majority of obese people just have poor eating habits.
I just don't get the feelings of hostility toward them.

It’s a huge public health crisis that costs us all in terms of higher medical costs. Especially from those fatties that are on the public dole. Hostility is understood. Then you have all these apologists coming around demanding that fatties be accepted or even embraced.

I go to Walmart and hate the crowds, the people, and the screaming kids. I am starting to hate Sam's just as much now.

I see your point; I just can't help but feel sorry for them.
Call me a bleeding heart. To live like that and not have the want, desire, will-power, whatever to change.
Just sad to me.

Sam’s let’s you scan your items yourself with your phone and walk on out though. Big plus in my book.

I saw that the last 2 times I went but have not used it. Does it work pretty well?

Works great! Absolutely zero problems with it. Scan and pay with your phone then it gives you a receipt that you show the person at the exit.

Same. People who have never been in a relationship with one of these people have no idea what hell really is.

Jesus, you too? So glad I'm not the only one who got trapped in a marriage by one of these bloodthirsty succubuses (succubi?)
