Now I've got to check out Mad Men as well

You'll not be able to stop watching ... it's addictive.

I've never spoken to anyone our age that did not get hooked Sarge. It'll bring back a lot of memories.

It was truly an amazing piece of TV history. The ratings bear that out ... it is must watch TV.

How good is it? My very elderly father who literally detests TV ... he was hooked on Mad Men.

It's a very relatable storyline with excellent character development and well played. No real heroes per se ... just a really well done story and the settings and props right down to the dishes and cars and magazines on the tables will blow your mind.

The Wire and the Sopranos are two of the greatest shows ever. They portray a common theme among many other shows and movies, but to a level of depth unlike anything else.

I was goddam addicted to Sopranos. Still am to a degree.
I also really dug Deadwood. I never got into breaking bad. Great series, just didnt hit it right for me. Probably because I have a close relative who is a recovering drug addict. Too close to home.

I started watching TURN, Washingtons Spies on AMC lately because Delta has it on their entertainment system on long flights which I am on regularly. I watched the first two seasons back to back. Waiting now on season 3.

The only answer to this question is The Wire. No other television show is in the same stratosphere.

I wouldn't exatcly call Mad Men addictive.

It's a very good show but not one you can really binge watch.

It's a great series ... really well done and they did their homework on the Culpepper spy ring.

Can't wait for the new season to start. Wait ... don't tell me it's already started. I didn't think Season 3 started until this coming Monday night?!?!?!?

I keep reading and hearing about that series.

It was about drug crime in Baltimore, correct?

I may have to try to watch that on HBO On Demand if I can squeeze it in somewhere. Has it played out in its entirety already?

I see it there with Ballers and True Blood and Newsroom and Veep and Silicon Valley and Six Feet Under and Oz and sheesh ... so many others I never got around to watching.

TV has come a long ways with quality shows.

That's because it's the greatest series of all time. It's equally about police investigations and the effect the war on drugs has had in the inner city.

Those shows can't begin to compare.

Silicon Valley

Very good comedy. Here's a clip that's an example of its humor.

ER, Scrubs, and House (especially the earlier seasons of each)

Smallville had potential but went horribly wrong

Breaking Bad was excellent

My Name Is Earl was one of the funniest shows ever on television, screw the execs for cancelling it

Currently enjoying The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul
