WTF, bro? You're not rocking an IR filter on your Surefire to help you see better when you have your NVGs on???

Scrooster nice the shotgun on the left I want

It's, by far, the least expensive of the four in the pictures. I bought it used from a former state trooper for $250.00.

The one of the left could be quite a few judging from the pic. Mossberg, Benelli M4, or an 870. Hell, it could all be custom built too. The one on the right is screaming Benelli to me, but again, I can't be certain.

As far the rifles, hell, (insert brand name here). It's a varaint of the Colt M4. I have the same looking rifle with all the "gear queer" stuff on it and it's technically a PA-15 because of the manufacturer.

You built all that huh?

ETA: Those are some pretty weapons

The one on the left is a modified Mossey 500. It's easy to tell it from a Benelli Super Nova, but the easy way to tell a Mossey from a Remington is where the safeties are located. Mosseys are on the top back of the receiver and Remingtons are down on the trigger guard.

The one on the right is a Benelli M4 in Desert Sand with an EOTech on top. The Benelli M4 is generally considered the finest combat 12 gauge shotgun in the world - bar none. It's just incredible. I've got a black one too. They are absolutely amazing combat shotguns. What is so incredible about them is how clean they run, how fast they are and how reliable and well-balanced they are.

Anyways, your other question ... can't see it right now during the reply but, if I remember the order correctly, the AR in the middle is a Bushy M4-A3 flattop with the handle removed an ACOG on top.

The one on the bottom is a SIG 716 with an EOTech 553 on top.

None of those are my builds (although I've built a bunch) - I bought all of those - those just happen to be the ones I had pictures of with various Holographic Weapon Sights or low power illuminated combat optics on top, since the subject had turned to "scopes and sights" and all that stuff.

I have a .300 blkout with the same optic as the one on the bottom..

I never understood flashlights on pistols or being used for home security. They make plenty sense if you and 3 other troops are raiding a house, but seem rather stupid for an individual shooter who doesn't yet know his target..

The EOTech on the bottom is a 553 with a BDC designed for 7.62 x 51 which is what that SIG 716 likes to eat. Yours is probably a 512 maybe? I'm not sure which EOTech BDC works on the 300?

The EOTech on the Benelli M4 at the top is actually a 512 that I used to have on a custom built AR which I switched to another, newer ACOG - but it works great on the Benelli.

I like the 300 AAC Blackout, I know it's the latest greatest flavor of the day ... but I like it. I've shot one. I like the ballistics and I'm an avid reloader so, that's my next upper build just for the heck of it. I mean what's not to like? The capacity of 5.56 with the ballistics of 7.62. I just hope all the case conversions that I've been reading about apply.

I think the only time lights and lasers might apply is in SWAT type bullshite. All the SpecOps units these days are wearing NVDs/NODs along the lines of the PVS7s or 15s and even up to the panoramic stuff they have these days, all Gen III and IV and now they're working on V ... it's just incredible. So lights, and particular red lasers, are almost obsolete although, for civilian use, I can (sort of) see and understand why some hobby shooters might find an integrated red laser helpful - maybe - I dunno. Now, green UV/IR lasers, the ones used to paint targets and such - they're cool as heck. I actually got to participate in a shoot with some of those and not long ago and it is completely understandable how our guys, overseas, own the night these days.

Rooster,

What is that shotgun on the left? That is perfect for what I want.

Also,
I noticed on your Acog you don't cover up any of the tritium.. Do you feel you have the reticle too bright? I picked up a trick of putting simple duct tape over a portion and it's not so bright and its easier on my eyes.

That's a Mossberg 500 Cruiser. They usually come with a pistol grip and a breaching muzzle break but, after I turned 60, I wasn't able to shoot it as well with the pistol grip like I used to - my hand and wrist would swell and it really pissed me off about getting older. So a couple years ago I removed the breaching end and I replaced the pistol grip with that collapsible Blackhawk recoil absorbing stock you see in the picture. I bought the shotgun like new/used for $250.00 from a retired state trooper buddy of mine who used to keep it in his private vehicle. (The aftermarket stock was a little less than $100 I think.) State Troopers around here all used to carry pistol gripped Cruisers because they are short and could be grabbed in a hurry from between the seat. I like it a lot a lot though. I keep it on bicycle hooks over the inside of one of my closets. I'm 6'3" so I can reach it in a hurry with no problems but there are other places to keep them out of reach of the kids or grandkids.

Here's what it looked like before I changed-out the stocks but right after I removed the breaching muzzle break. It came with the heat shield. I still keep it on the same bicycle hooks

As far as the fiber optics on the ACOG - I may have taken that picture after a night shoot ... that's probably correct, I can't remember. I open-up the fiber optics depending upon the available light at whatever shoot I attend - and I actually used to use that one for home defense as well so, since I'm a two-eyes-open shooter from my old IPSC, IDPA, 3-gun days, the more light in the dark the better.

But I do use electricians tape to cover part of the fiber optics on my ACOGs and AimPoints in bright sunlight.

I'm not big on tritium front sight posts on rifles. Back in my day we used to dull those in bright sunlight with lighters by sooting them down ... so the tritium is a waste of time for most old guys like me. Now, on my SIGs, my pistols, I love the tritium rear and front sights - they are a must have on any sidearm IMHO. I just think tritium on rifles is a waste of time.

Why go to all that trouble and throw away a perfectly good gun? They invaded your home. You live in the south where the castle doctrine rules.

Leave them where they fell. Call the cops and tell them they have a cleanup on aisle x. They will haul off the carcass for you and you get to keep the gun. All you have to do is clean up the room.

Didn't figure it was a high dollar piece. It is similar to the 870 I've fitted out to defend the house and I like the looks of it all. The Benelli is nice but I don't care for semi auto shotguns.

I used to think that way ... until my wife gave me this Benelli.

Now I own the two M4s, a Super Black Eagle and a SBEII.

The whole inertia driven, piston driven, semi-auto model that is the Benelli is genius.

I had one of the largest collections of Ithaca 37s in the country. Every year from '37-'72 in 12 gauge and most other gauges as well plus different grades.

Sold it. Sold the entire collection to a guy up in Wilmington, NC. I was a pump fanatic. I could slam fire a M37 faster than most could run a Remy 1100. But Benelli changed my mind forever.
