We didn't even have any buses when I was there in the 90's. There was a grass field where the Publix is now that I always parked in and just walked everywhere. Most of the commuter lots were jam packed with people sitting in their car waiting for someone to leave. Couple of semesters I didn't even get a commuter parking tag and just parked off campus. It only sucked when it was raining.

It's long gone now, but there was also a small parking lot near Riverside Amphitheater that was always empty. It was about 100 yards from the jam packed Ferguson Center parking lot across from Paty Hall. That area of campus isn't even recognizable now though, so both of those lots are probably long gone.
