I love NOLA culture, but sometimes it just smells.
New Orleans is dirty, and unbearably humid.
Still don't know of a place with better music and food.

1) Charleston, SC (including all of the nice suburbs like Kiawah Island)
2) Savannah, GA
3) Nashville, TN
4) Athens, GA
Honorable mention of Chapel Hill. But Charleston wins by a landslide. Greatest place in this nation. No. The world.

Asheville by a mile. (Being from East TN, I'll take the mountains over the Ocean just about every time)
-Short drive through the mountains.
-Great smoke, although Knoxville does well in that area as well
-Great high Gravity beer production
-Great scenery, hiking, fishing, hunting.
It reminds me of a much smaller, more liberal, Knoxville with a much better Downtown feel.

Spend a ton of time there... boyfriend's family owns a condo in Seagrove...
and if I could buy a multimillion dollar house in the southeastern US... well, it would be there
Rosemary, Alys, or Seagrove.

Spent a couple of days there just this week. Very underrated, but very, very small.

Lafayette can be a fun little place too, if you're not from Baton Rouge.
So true!
