Apparently it's not as uncommon in this ignorant arse country as one would think, one of my buddy's SO has made the same mistake

It's still inexcusable IMO

Had a girl in my eighth grade history class repeatedly pronounce the word "Nazis" as "Naz-ees" when reading out of our books. The girl became very angry when I started laughing at her and said she had never seen or heard the word before.........I am still astonished by that statement to this day

Meh, when I was 10 or 11 I thought the Washington Redskins were in Washington State.

But I sure as shite knew the difference between the state and the district and knew where the were on the map. You're looking at the 4th grade geography bee runner up right here

I can already see me and my friends trying (and failing) not to bust out laughing at this

Probably the dumbest thing I ever heard a person seriously ask a teacher in class was in my Junior year.

"Is Las Vegas a state" followed by "This may be a dumb question too, but why is Alaska so cold if it's right beside Hawaii"

In 9th grade we had this super feminist teacher that we all hated and made fun of. One day we were talking about this ancient Grecian clay pot and someone asked why the hell we were learning about this thing. She responded by saying that art is important and that her career was based off of this because she wrote a 30 page senior thesis paper on it.

The guy sitting next to me decided to respond,"What career?"

Needless to say, he was suspended.

The best comment of the day by someone in the school came from a teacher telling a kid he had to do math warmup sheet.

If you cant count, you will never know how to write.

I think the stupid from these kids is finally starting to wear on us.

In 6th grade we were using clay in science to make some figure. And the type of teenager I was I decided it would be funny to make a clay penis. Mrs. Smith saw and I told her I was making rocket ships and found my self in the office 5 minutes later.

I had to observe a principal the other day handling referrals. Kid was written up for saying "God you're such a bitch," to his teacher. When the principal asked him about it, he claimed he said "bipolar" instead of "bitch". The principal said he was full of it, she knows the difference when she hears "bitch" instead of "bipolar". The kid then said, "Yeah, you're right, I guess you do."

Three days ISS for his trouble.

A little OT. They didn't say this, but did it. A trouble maker in my 7th grade science class fed "our class's pet gerbil" to our P.E. teacher's python. The P.E. teacher thought it was hilarious. The science teacher had a break down (uncontrollable tears), missed the next 2 days, and never returned after that year. The kid never really got into any trouble because he denied it. But we all knew what happened to Max that day. The guy had him in his book bag at lunch that day showing everyone and snickering "it won't be long now." P.E was right after lunch.

That same guy took some shrooms one night in high school and left a party tripping pretty hard. He was found the next morning completely naked in his wrecked car with his head through the windshield. Sad story, but that was just the way he was. Didn't even remember that until now. Raise smart kids please!

I guess I can't say much though. Up until about 5th grade, I would swear Nebraska was a province in Canada. I was absolutely sure of it too! No one could tell me otherwise.
