Yeah, the scores themselves really aren't indicative of anything, tbh

Didn't matter, red-green colorblind I only had a few job options available to me.

All I know is that it was super-high and that amused me greatly because I aced the practical math-type problems even though I sucked at algebra in HS (was really good at geometry tho). After I took the ASVAB, the Navy recruited me for nuclear engineering really hard for a few years. Given where I live civilian life would've given me easy jobs here at home and the bonus/signup pay was great. BUT I didn't know anything about the Navy - we're all Army with one or two AF thrown in.
In retrospect, I was a complete idiot for not taking the Navy up on their offer but in my lame defense, at that point in my life, I'd never seen a real-life Naval Officer except on TV/Film.

Every Razorback thread will have an appearance from dickbutt until another fanbase becomes as annoying as Arkansas.

We showed up at school and they told us we had to take a military test. Most people dgaf. But I loved test taking.
Got a couple calls from the military but wouldn't even give me a full scholarship. And I already had 6 scholarships that covered everything so i passed on there shitty offer.

You didn't have any scholarship offers.

Look, we're doing our best on tArk, man. Been increasing the frequency of our sorties to tRant, but it's gonna be a bit of a slog

Where the hell did you want to go that ANY ROTC program wouldn't offer a full shollie???? I've never heard of that and once you're in they pay for grad degrees too.
Hell for a long time the GI Bill paid for the children of Vets that never used their monies (cheap arse congress doesn't do that anymore tho).

99, which they told me was the highest score. One other guy in my high school got that. I did not go in the military, though. He didn't either.

But it was high enough that at the end of MEPS when they take you in an office by yourself and look at your file the officer said "You have a high enough ASVAB score to do any job in the military you want, why the frick are you signed up to be a machine gunner?"
My experience as well, though it wasn't for that job.
I ended up getting DQ'd from the Air Force because of high frequency hearing loss in my left ear.
I thought that was dumb, but oh well.
