Boiled Peanuts are so good, especially on a road trip. Never heard of a slug burger, but just looked it up and it has a worse name then what it actually is.

I've always heard them called Koolaid Pickles, rather than koolickles, but I have seen them in the delta, and I'm not from Mississippi.

Also, aren't slugburgers a MS and north AL thing, and not TN?

Really? Will keep this in mind if the supply chain crashes. Can’t think of anything easier to hunt.

I felt weirded out when I found out what Rocky Mountain Oysters were, and that was several years ago.

Not even close, though its nasty. Stink heads or fermented seal flipper are the weirdest.

Funny, I've eaten rattlesnake in Santa Fe, NM and Rocky Mountain Oysters in Cheyenne, WY

Had to be slightly drunk at a all night poker game to give the RM Oysters a try.

What the hell is "Koolickle"? I've never once heard of it.

neither have I and I've lived here for 20 years.

Florida has to be wrong. They have got to eat something weirder than Gator. Hell, they probably have cannibals.

Yes, slugburgers are a North MS thing, I guess probably North AL as well along 72. Corinth, MS is where I think of when I hear slugburger

You like to eat swamp rats. Congratulations, Missouri, you're officially country enough for the SEC.

I didn't know pasties were for eating, nor that sauerkraut had balls,
Pasties are great, but I associate them with northern Michigan (both sides of the bridge) rather than Montana.

And I've lived in Indiana more than 30 years (damn why did I have to remember that) and I've never in my life heard of sauerkraut balls. I didn't think anybody else in Indiana had ever even heard of sauerkraut, tbh.

Never met nor heard any lore of anyone in Arkansas eating possum, let alone making it into pie.

The correct answer for Arkansas is Chocolate Gravy.

But its mostly just hot chocolate pudding on biscuits for breakfast.

I never knew it was anywhere but Arkansas. Sounds like maybe its just a hillbilly thing.
