I wouldn't go so far as to call it awful. It tends to have some nice photography and such.
Having said that, I can't see where it serves any useful purpose other than to occupy space in the waiting room of a doctor's office. It provides neither the recipes and other charms of Southern Living nor the useful outdoor information found in something like Field and Stream.
I'll flip through one, but I'd never, ever buy one.

I voted for yours because I've got a Boykin.
Mine is friendly and lovable but otherwise totally useless. He even hates the water.
