Problem is too many of those jobs are temporary.

So... Stonehog comes in, makes a claim, passive aggressively lays down one sentence counterarguments, and disappears when the facts don't help his narrative?

Principles of Mispersuasion 101.

It's not the side he takes, it's how he takes it like a petty bitch.

You're a shitty poster, too.
And are you saying this was a persuasive thread or just in general we should pay more attention to him.

Most are part time jobs with no benefits. Thanks Obamacare.

It's almost like something catastrophic happened to the economy in 2008.

Mind explaining what my "narrative" is? I posted a fact in the OP, the unemployment rate is the lowest it's been in 7 years. Then you have people in this thread twisting the numbers so they can still hate Obama for the unemployment rate being low. It's pathetic.

Yea, participation is even lower now.

Yep, this is the real story. Millions of people have dropped out of the labor force and many of the newly created jobs are part time jobs. Thanks, Obamacare.

No, the numbers you reported were twisted to fit a narrative, then people in this thread untwisted them, and now you are butthurt. This is an indisputable fact.

You're narrative has maintained that the progressive way of life and governering is wonderful and utopia. Whether it is your opinion on voting, gay rights, you name it. You immediately run from dissenting opinions and if you respond, you belittle them instead of engaging in conversation.

The numbers are twistable any way you look at it for either side. The fact is labor participation rate is at an all time low, to deny that if just being obtuse. I think we've done a good job of getting a lot of people that were unemployed in 2008-2011 employed, but not at full time jobs.

But to your final point, yes there is blind Obama hatred by the right and it's stupid.

Sadly, I think this was coming even before Obamacare. It just gave companies an excuse to make it happen at a faster rate than it already was.

But hey, it's perfect for those retired baby boomers who are picking up part-time jobs to supplement the retirement they'll still get that the majority of us won't despite paying in.

That is key to the numbers that the current administrations fails to explain. You have to be looking for work to be considered unemployed. The amount of people going back to college to get some type of degree continues to grow and with that they leave the demographic of looking for work. Just because unemployment continues to go down does not correlate with people finding jobs.

Also the ACA(Obama Care) with the mandate has sent a lot of people back to school as well when their hours got cut to keep from providing healthcare benefits.

It will only get worse over the next few years, not better. These numbers are only propaganda used to win elections and the bigger issue in this country are the uneducated voters who vote based on this type of skewed information.

Yes. And that was 7 years ago. And yet real income hasn't even reached the same level it was before the crash for any income level. So crowing about unemployment when real wages are down is stupid. But you're stupid, so we expect it.
