But it isn't sadistic. I've fished my entire life and killed many fish in the process. I don't sit around and hold satanic rituals before consuming the fish.

Says one of the biggest military haters on this board

I know I'm not the biggest fan of the military, but you wouldn't know that by looking at my Facebook posts. I don't talk about it on there. I think the only time I've mentioned anything close to something about the military was when a friend made a post about equality and women being forced to sign up for the draft. All I said was that instead of making everyone sign up for it, no one should be forced to sign up for it. My opinion wasn't well received, probably because the guy was a Marine and so we're a lot of his friends.

I hardly ever make facebook posts regarding military shite and pretty much never when it comes to politics

I love watching people lose their shite on facebook. Hand me some fricking popcorn. People truly think their opinion matters in regards to religion, military, politics etc. No one gives a frick that you hate Trump or Clinton. Just let the people vote. Seeing the non stop parade of memes is giving the world cancer.

I get what you're saying but I think it was a little harsh saying no one is more annoying than someone who is or was in the military

Maybe. I was wrong though, because I think new parents are worse. But at least among my "friends", the military one are the second most annoying. Whether it's the constant posts about some "war hero" that should really get the praise every time some celeb dies or the posts about which politician is fricking the military this week, it's always something. It may be different in your circle of friends, but that just my observation about the people I know.

Fair enough

Incidentally, I agree with your premise there. Either both genders should have to register or none should. If we're really gonna talk about gender equality.

For me, the most annoying Facebook posts in my feed are the ones who constantly post Jesus memes or the stupid "don't scroll without typing amen" bullshite. And I'm a Christian. But come on.... irks me.

I do the same as you though. Usually just end up unfollowing folks so they're not cluttering up my feed, but will stay friends.

I think they just wish this country would show more support for the military(which it should) they just aren't going about it the best way.

Seriously. Most of us have friends on both sides of the aisle. None of these politicians know your name or care about you spending half your day stumping for them on social media, but you're gonna sit there and post memes all day or threaten to unfriend people if they support one side or the other? So. fricking. Dumb

People can mute the annoying Facebook friends without unfriending them. Unfriending people only causes potentially awkward situations such as when the deleted ones ask at the ballgame why they were unfriended.

Why is 4 hard to believe?

I think it is funny and self depreciating.

And it is also true--it has happened 3 times.

In your original comment, you seem to distinguish hunting for food from hunting for sport. I think anyone who considers the killing of animals, such as the Minnesota dentist who killed that lion in Africa, for sport (using the word as a synonym for fun) is definitely sadistic.

If you consume what you legally hunt and kill, I don't see how anyone can say that's sadism. I think it's only those hunters who kill and then ignore or discard their prey who are sadistic; or, as in the case of the Minnesota dentist, to have a trophy for his wall.

He said nothing on Facebook is more annoying. No one is really slamming the Vets. The truth is, social media brings out the worst, most attention-seeking qualities in the average person, and then magnifies it. Something about our brains just can't resist flooding people with unsolicited advice and opinions when there's not a face-to-face interaction. Not to mention positing literally hundreds of pictures of ourselves, taken by ourselves, in the same pose in various uninteresting locations. Or of the fricking sandwich we ate for lunch. None of these things are our real life personalities, it only rears itself on social media.

Precisely why I deleted it. I give zero fricks about anyone else's lunch, what people from high school are doing 15 years later, some awful lookibg craft project, or their ignorant political stance. When I found myself unconsciously starting to add to the idiocy I said enough and got rid of it. Facebook is a cesspool. frick that place.

I think the idea of social media is a beautiful, awesome thing. I also deleted my Facebook, but only because I think it's a very dishonest company and because I don't want any of that e-drama to seep into my actual life. I kind of miss MySpace, honestly.
