Crappy, ungrateful attitudes have consequences. UA did UAB and Birmingham a HUGE favor by placing their medical school in downtown Birmingham and created thousands of great jobs. UA has pumped hundreds of millions of dollars into that campus and city and yet all we get in return is bitching and complaining. All that generosity and not only are they ungrateful, they hijack the program and slap their own logo on it and try to break away from the entity that created them in the first place. Sounds like the people in charge got sick of all the complaining and wasted resources by UAB and decided to cut the program. Bad attitudes and poor management have consequences.

As an outsider I just now looked into the issue.
I went immediately to the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees.
14 of the 17 people listed are University of Alabama graduates. I think like 2 of them total had a degree or some sort of tie to UAB.
That's really all I needed to see.
Sad.

It does not have anything to do with the sec. There has been 30 threads this week on them. It's simply just another whine by auburn towards bama.

That didn't happen, moron, so stop fricking saying it. The BOT placed the medical school under UAB authority a long time ago, and the fricking BOT changed the name in about 2008.
