Is this similar to the trickle down economics that worked so well before?

Trump says that won't happen because he also plans to make "tremendous cuts" to the federal budget

SOB hasn't specified $1 in spending cuts and I will take a permaban bet right now that he will not specify spending cuts that will even come cloe to being "tremendous" or even offsetting 50% of the $24.5 trillion his tax cuts could conceivably add to the debt. Hell, I'll bet you he doesn't even specify 10%.

It is a total joke and has been for years. Romney said the same and was asked about 10,000 times what spending cuts he would make and he never came up with even $1.00 of spending cuts. fricking idiots believed him though. The GOP party loves to piss on the head of its base because the GOP party knows its base will accept the pissing in this area.

Look at trump, he is pissing in the face of the GOP base more than any candidate EVER in regard to the debt and he is leading in the polls.

His plan, while not perfect, gets rid of itemized deductions and depends on increased taxable monies.

After accounting for increased "taxable monies" assuming his plan massively stimulates the economy, he is only $10-$12 trillion short according to non-partisan estimates.

Trump's tax plan is laughable. Lets cut reduce revenue by $24 trillion, count on that cut to generate $14 trillion in additional receipts due to GDP growth, and frick the extra $10 trillion. Oh wait, I mean he will come up with $10 trillion in spending cuts so that he doesn't make things worse (forget actually improving the debt situation) although that extra $10 trillion is a secret as to where it will come from. Laughable, pissing on the head of his base, but his base don't give a frick, TRUMP!!!

And you realize any halfwit should be able to realize if you cut taxes massively, you will reduce revenue and you will end up with more debt unless you cut spending just as much?

And son, if you believe that is going to happen...

I think you are having an extremely hard time with the numbers on this. the 24.5 trillion is an extremely made up number that exists in 2036, if there are no other things to take into account(like the removal of itemized deductions).

Really though, none of this matters.

Trumps plan is so ludicrous, no one in congress would take it seriously on either side. Kinda like his deportation "plan" with no specifics as to how he would accomplish it.

It's like he says, hey I will shite rainbow unicorns as potus. Then someone asks him how he will shite rainbow unicorns and his answer is it will be terrific.

Oblamer has run up more debt than every other president combined. I'll take my chances with anyone else, almost literally anyone. Butch Jones could be president and not be such a catastrophe. The ones that can't be elected are the other Dems in the race. They are too cowardly to go back on anything Oblamer has started and in order to suck up to others, will probably expand things.

ftr. i don't hate Bernie or anything. i think he's a very sincere guy who just wants everybody to be on the same playing field. It's admirable till it turns into straight up theft.

Sanders is a giant doosh bag. All his plans sound great until the bill comes due. And just like Bush's dumb idea with Medicare Part D, all of Sanders' plans will escalate in cost. That $19B will easily become $30B or more. Just like Obamacare and everything else.

All of these people lie. The big reason Trump shows some potential is because people are hoping he doesn't do the lies and underestimation like the others continually do.

Anyone staunchly on the side of D or R is the problem, because both parties have done the damage. One party alone wouldn't be capable of it.

See, when someone says something like this, it is quite obvious they have no clue what the frick they are talking about and honestly, should not be casting a vote in an election until they become better informed.

People way overhype the power the Executive Branch has with their economic plans.

Even if one party has control of both houses, it is rare the Executive gets what he wants. Too many conflicting interests/ideologies.
