Some states will see the sun completely blocked out while most of us will see at least two thirds blockage. I saw one as a child in the 80's and it is definitely something I want to see again.

I'll be in Hoptown, Kentucky for the event. It'll be my third eclipse, first total.

I was at work and we all step outside to check it out, It was eerie.

I always thought it was cool how Columbus got food from
the Jamaica natives by predicting a lunar eclipse.

I remember the 1980 eclipse. Was working outside. Was neet.
Punched a hole in a piece of paper with a pin and watched it on another piece of paper.

I feel like I saw one in grade school in the 80's in tx, I have a vague recollection of making "special" glasses at school so we could view it.

Here in central MO hotels have been booked solid for over a year for this event. Supposedly, tens of thousands of folks from all over the world will be lined up across the state from the northeast to the southeast corner. I guess we hit the solar eclipse jackpot for tourism dollars. I remember watching the last on in the 80's as well with a shoebox contraption of some sort.

Maybe she can take over for Jamie Curtis on the commercials.
