I wouldn't mind a president who didn't take vacation. Again, he runs the entire world, to an extent. He's not a teacher. If you want vacation time, go be a teacher.

What do you want Obama to do in this situation? He's not going to physically go overseas and rescue the guy. All he can do is sit behind a desk and tell people what to do. He can do that while on vacation.

LBJ was a total workaholic. He worked quite literally every waking minute of the day, through meals and bathroom breaks. He rarely if ever took vacations.
