I read somewhere that the killer was agitated because the guy was using ear buds to listen to tunes. Maybe he just wanted to talk.

Rode one from Montgomery, AL to Dallas, TX 27 years ago when I was 16. It was fun for me because I was young and away from parents for really the first time in my life. Only downside was a drunk on the bus pissed in his seat and crack looking whore in her mid 40's was trying to touch my junk.
They got off in Vicksburg, MS though, so rest of ride was pretty fun.

No direct route. Have to go Nashville -> Atlanta (5 hours) and then Atlanta -> Birmingham (3 hours).

My friends rode from Mobile to Nashville a couple years ago. They said it was one of their worse experiences ever

luckily I've found a ride to Alabama... will not be getting my head chopped off, or getting shite on by a crackhead, on the Greyhound...
