Yeah...weird kids gonna be weird. Homeschooling just prevents the weird ones from learning how to adapt their weirdness into more socially acceptable ways.

Tbird, on the other hand, was a lost cause from the start.

If I had to do it all over again, my kids would have been home schooled. The shite they are teaching and the things that are going on are incredible. More troublesome is the lack of control or willingness to address problems. State employees at the end of the day......

My high school was really highly ranked and I thought it was awesome. I don't think I would ever home school my kids. I think it's unfortunate that high schools can let people down so badly that they don't want to send their kids their. That's a shame.

That high ranking seems suspect.

It seems like most spelling bee competitors these days are home schooled. They aren't awkward because they're home schooled, they're home schooled because they're awkward.

Say what you will about Jesus, but leave the messiah out of this.

I and all my siblings were home schooled. None of us are socially awkward. However I'm working at a national lab for the summer, and there are a lot of public schooled scientists here who make this kid look normal. I think you have confused homeschooled with nerd.

There will always be kids that are social that are homeschooled or not, and there will be always be kids that are awkward, homeschooled or not.

The issue is, just like someone has already said, in the Bible Belt, people homeschool their kids because, God forbid, they get exposed to "secular" anything. They're not involved in homeschool groups, they don't play sports, nothing. They end up never leaving the house, never interacting with other kids and they end up turning out weird as frick.

My sister and bil are perfect examples. Exactly how I would NOT raise my kids. I mean for fricks sake they said the other day, and I quote, "We don't eat at Hardees because of their pornographic commercials." "It's obvious watching them that they have no biblical values."

I mean what in the actual frick?

Indeed

And normal homeschoolers laugh like hell at those crazies, too.

I shite you not, when this vid first hit the airwaves, the name "O'Dorney" became a punchline for my siblings and I

Do homeschool kids have something that replaces homecoming and prom? Like do they get together with other homeschoolers in the area or something, this is a semi serious question

I always had girlfriends in high school........just went to their proms.

I found out later in life that among other homeschoolers I hung around, there was some resentment towards me. I was the "popular" homeschooler. Whatever.

I'm going to have to find this one and use it on them.

Clarification: Not the children, the fricked up parents.

I was so oblivious man, I had no idea how sheltered some of my peers were. I lived in a different world than they did.
