I wasn't aware that UM had opened a campus in Ferguson.

I'm a pretty firm supporter of Planned Parenthood, so no. And that's an issue that rises above the head of a University President, so I wouldn't feel he should be held responsible if I did support something like that.

so you support killing babies after they have been born? This isn't an abortion issue anymore they have admitted to killing "intact fetus'" after birth

Really one of most ridiculous things I have read today and there have been many. College students do stupid things all the time.

Except it went further than even that. Their list of demands was tantamount to calling for lies... i.e. that racism was institutionalized by the University... and calling for the President to apologize for being white.

I've said it before. I'll say it again. The demands were that the University stipulate to the basis for a class action lawsuit against the University. frick the lawyers.

I'm not getting into a discussion about what Planned Parenthood does/doesn't do outside of the Poli Board. There's really no need for it in this particular thread.

That's correct. The N-word is NEVER a threat. It certainly has accompanied some threats, but there was no such attachment in this one and no reason to assume one.

It isn't up to you to determine what someone else considers threatening. This isn't a hard concept to understand. If they felt threatened by racial slurs that shouldn't have been said anyway the (former) president should have taken it more seriously.

No, he shouldn't have. The president of a university doesn't have time to concern himself with the sensitivities of every single person who feels threatened. If they felt truly threatened they should have called campus police. He cannot be expected to handle every instance of name-calling and harrassment.

Nope what should have happened in either senerio is the players should have been kicked off the team and their scholarships revoked. You don't hold the University hostage like that. I am disappointed in how Mizzou handled the whole thing.

I think it's cool how you use the word threatened when you should be using triggered

"Held them hostage"? All they did was say they wouldn't play football. Is football that important over there? I guess it is.

There are things he could have done to change the culture around there. I hope the new president understands this (I'm sure he will).

This. The MSM and collegiate academia are the most liberal bastions of our society. No common sense, no sense of right or wrong whatsoever. They would laugh because conservatives are not progressive.

This is, quite simply, bullshite!

Young people have opinions just like everyone else. It doesn't make them automatically correct or even worthwhile.
