If you look closer you will see that Paul is speaking of Ishmael son of Hagar.Ishmael was Isaacs half brother. He and his mother were sent away from Abrahams household when Isaac was born.She was Sarahs slave.
Ishmael is the father of the Muslims, Isaac is the father of the Jews. And Abraham is therefore the father of two great nations but only one was Gods chosen poeple.
Look at the meeting of Jesus and the Samartin woman at Jacobs well. John chapter 4 verse 22-24.
In Pauls travles when he went into a town he always went to the Jewish Temple to preach first. When he was rejected by the Jews he then preached to the gentiles where he could.
