With Saks being headquarted in NY i would guess alabamas biggest brands would be Regions Bank, Hibbett Sports or Books a Million

Saks, Inc. was founded in Birmingham. It's a subsidiary of Saks Fifth Avenue. The HQ is in NYC now but most of the executives still live in Birmingham and I'm pretty sure the store at the Summit is their flagship store.

You should of re worded this to something like "The most famous brand that was started in each state." Less confusing.

I walk in there every now and then just to look at price tags. It makes me feel very poor. I mean, I can imagine it making someone feel very poor.
