So you're saying a $70,000 salary for working 8 months out of the year is a bad job?

It's clearly one of the best in the world (as stated by you), one could definitely have a GMC Arcadia and time share at PC Beach with that kind of skrill.

So for the record, you think a public school teacher is just as good of a job as a tenured professor. You sticking with that?

Once again, I said a tenured professor is one of the best jobs in the world. Never said it was the highest paying.

Is that what I said?

The pay is certainly commensurate when measuring the humanities versus public school teachers (not to mention the likelihood of landing a full-time professor job is something like that unicorn you were talking about earlier). Are you a special kind of stupid or just the ordinary kind?

And you used Parkway to represent average public school salaries. What does that make you?

Fighting intolerance with even more intolerance won't solve anything. Advocating the murder of innocents makes someone no better than cops that murder people.

The line of thinking expressed in the OP is extremely counterproductive.

My argument was that a tenured professor is one of the best jobs a person can have. You can continue to argue that fact if you want, but you'll still be wrong.

The thing is, it may be good for the people in those positions, but there aren't many of those positions available.

That depends on your idea of many. There are thousands of universities in America.

Read first page and then skipped to last page... Where y'all are arguing about how much professors get paid?

The thread evolved gradually, just like in nature.

Show me a 33 year old public school teacher making $63,000 per year and I'll show you a fricking unicorn.

Your unicorn, sir, has arrived as requested. And I even work in Mississippi! That makes me a unicorn that shits rainbows, fwiw.

As long as the government isn't punishing such dissent there's nothing wrong. If you want to be a dumbass and spout off stupid, race baiting shite then you better be prepared to deal with the consequences of actions by private citizens and handle the ostracism and vilification. That's not a violation of the first amendment where there is no government actor. And it's not unAmerican to tell these people how incredibly stupid they are.

Well, ummm, I dunno.

In a nation where anything goes, everything eventually will. My Dad used to tell my brothers and me that back in the 50s and he's been proved to be right.

Dissenters are one thing, violent anarchists are quite another. This country seems to have forgotten the difference.

But just for giggles and grins ... when some of your higher-up fricktard radical left ilk like Alec Baldwin and Rosie O'Donnel and countless others threaten to leave the country if Conservatives are in office ... should they be allowed, even encouraged, to gtfo? Or is that too un-American?

Also, bonus question. Let's say a member of your family says she hates your fricking family, says it's time for genocide and time to burn your family house to the ground and then she personally wishes you dead and then she says she is going to buy a gun ....

What do you do?
