Just trying to figure out what the point of taking the flag down was. Seems like everyone is excited and patting each other on the back for doing nothing constructive.

Did this really need another thread?

We all know your stance on the flag

To answer your question, no it's not over and as long as there are free thinking humans on this planet racism will never be over. It sucks but that's the truth.

Is Louis Farrakhan still the head of the Nation of Islam?

Therein lies your answer.

Because that particular flag was taken and used as a symbol of hate and racism many years after it represented as a symbol of states rights (and I'm using that term very loosely) and doesn't need to be flown over any member state of the United States of America. Imo the actual Stars and Bars flag that repped the confederate states should replace it over that confederate memorial but I don't see it happening.

So because some people are offended by it everybody should see it as offensive?

That would make even less sense since that flag actually represented the gov't of the confederacy and you emphasized the battle flag not flying over any member state of the U.S.

Which I'll also point out isn't relevant to SC since the battle flag was not flying over the state capitol which is generally the benchmark for whether something is flying over a state or not. It was just on the grounds.

Go to stormfront.org and ask them...they'll let you known if it's over.

No

But that flag wasn't adopted by a bunch of haters

Which is why I said it should be replaced by the actual confederate flag

It's been explained on this board numerous times, a few times directly to you. If you still have to ask the question, that is a you problem. Educate yourself and quit asking people to hold your hand in overcoming your ignorance.

Sorta like all the people holding up confederate flags everyday this week. Guess they don't have jobs either. Might want to watch the news a lil more before posting about people working. Lots of confederate supporters out during the day all week.....including this morning. GET A JOB!!!!

You are obviously not in downtown Columbia because its been a running joke that confederate flag supporters don't show up until after 5 while those supporting its removal are there during work hours.

Dude it's been on CNN, I guess CNN is on time lag. I have CNN and FOX News at work, watch it on break and lunch. You can see them holding flags during the morning, afternoon and evening. Love live feeds. Can probably pull up videos on youtube showing them during the day.
