Who here knows what I am legally required to do? I don't mind being without insurance honestly as young as I am but I realize that's not super smart. I guess my question is what am I legally required to do regarding Obamacare and by when do I have to do it?

Hop on that free gubment healthcare. It's ok, you can just pay later.

Ask John Roberts, he can tell you all about the 'tax' you're subjected to.
Many people have gone your route - much cheaper for them.

Depends, I was without in 2014 and it was supposed to only hit me at approx $139 on my taxes, in reality it cost me roughly $1500 at tax time. Just go to the government Healthcare site and pick a cheap plan with a high arse deductible and you won't spend much.

There's this thing called Google. I'd advise asking it for its wisdom on the matter.

So if I don't enroll I will have some sort of fine at tax time? Didn't know how long the grace period was, I know the penalties didn't go into effect for a couple years
You're absolutely right but since I have a little time, I'm being lazy

Yeah you take a tax hit, how much I have no clue but I know mine was damn sure more than what Obama said it would be, lying fricker.

That sucks, I'd be pissed.

You could refuse to pay it. And you could ask for installment plan.
I still don't understand how that was legal, to impose a tax for not purchasing one of those programs. Isn't this the type of stuff that prompted the gov to break up Ma Bell?

And installment plan on the tax penalty or the premiums? It's pretty funny if they let you do that
And I honestly don't know much about the bell situation

You can just not pay the tax penalty because they can't come after your assets they can only withhold it from your income tax return. If you make enough to not get taxes back then it cost you nothing

I think the penalty is 1% of your income over $10,000.

Until some Gov't yahoo decides it's worth $30K to go to court and put leins on your $200 you owe.
eta- I'd just like to take this opportunity to say... frick Obama. frick every Dem that voted for this shite legislation and frick every weakminded, idiot pussified, greedy, piece of shite voter that voted for Obama or any Dem that voted for this shite legislation. I hope you suffer from a very painful health issue that can't be treated because your insurance won't cover it due to astronomical deductibles/out of pockets and premiums. Thanks for listening.

just sign up for the local free county insurance. you're in the clear, or at least people used to be as of last year.
i know of no one they went after, and if they do, it's like getting a red light ticket. challenge it.

Don't worry about it.You have insurance this year. When you do your taxes in April, the tax form will ask if you had insurance for the year 2015. Which you did. You don't need to buy anything until enrollment 2016.

Just a Tax penalty. otherwise sign up for the marketplace. if you are not poor, be prepared to get raped. Mine rose $510 a month, since everyone is now forced into maternity coverage.

Which is right now until either December 31 or January 1.
Edit: I think I'm OK for early enrollment because Assurant is not offering health insurance (at least to me) in 2016. So, I'm not sure about regular enrollment for 2016. Anyway, I just enrolled in the highest deductible plan ($6,800) at a premium of $256.00. I'll never even meet a gold level $1,000 deductible, anyway, unless something goes horribly wrong.
