I'm just not made for that kind of lifestyle. I'm a really active person and the only reason I work is to pay my rent and fund my hobbies. I don't really care about "getting ahead". No way in hell would I or could I work 60-70 hours a week. That's not how we were meant to live IMO.

Do you want to work to live, or live to work?

I definitely work to live. Luckily at my job we are not allowed to work over 40 hrs a week. I'm OT poor, but I have great insurance, tons of vacation, and an adequate amount of free time.

Never. Some people think they might be bored if they retire early. Not me, I'd cherish every minute of my free time and do whatever the frick I want to do.

I just started playing golf again. It's relatively expensive but what's the point of making a lot of money if you can't find a couple things that make you happy?

I also started reading a lot again. Try to do at least a book a week or more depending on the book.

I still need more hobbies/activities to do. Right now I'm living somewhere I don't know anybody outside of family but soon I'm moving home for my new job and hopefully will reconnect with a bunch of friends.

Golf and a dog is really where it's at.

I guess with my personality, I just enjoy living alone. After spending all day with people at work, when I get home it is a relief not to have to entertain people's bullshite conversations that I don't care about. I just want to sit there in peace and relax.

Man this kinda makes me want to start a dog thread.

I don't know what I would do without mine. To be honest I wish he would sit still on the cart and I would most likely rather take him to play golf with me than a lot of other people.

Ours died a couple months ago and my parents won't let me get a new one yet. When I get my own house/apartment I'll get one though.

Reading is good.

You said you already work out right? So if you get home around 5:30, work out for an hour, hell at that point you've only got a few hours to kill anyway. Put together a list of some of the best novels of all time (or just ones in an area that interests you) and knock those out. Same with movies, get netflix or something and start watching shows/documentaries/movies in areas you like.

Learn to cook. It's a fun way to pass the time, the end result is good bc you eat it, it's a lifetime skill you'll always have, plus it looks really, really good to women if you can cook.

I'm sorry bro, losing a pet/family member that they come to be is pretty fricking awful.

If I were still single I'd be slaying strange all the time and likely dying of AIDS by now because unprotected sex is the only way to go.

As would I. I'm not single but not currently living in the same town either, so it's kind of like that sometimes without being able to go full slutfest 24/7.
