Buy them direct from dorco usa they regularly run specials with 40% off.

Blades aren't bad at all and I buy about a years supply at a time when they run the special

The key thing is keeping your blade sharp and dry. I go old school with a badger hair brush and have a stand to let my razor dry out between uses. That at least doubled my blades life. Then I found the Razorpit sharpener doohickey (see the link below, it is discussed half way through the article). I use it once a week and a blade lasts me +3 months now (I shave my face and head). Definitely recommend getting one of these because it will pay for itself within 6 months.

Drop the coin and buy an electric beard trimmer and shaver.

As you age you get crags and wrinkles that just get to hard to save, Besides, if you let your wife shave you, you can return the favor with something that vibrates on her.

Nothing like a proper barber shave with a straight razor.

There's a barber here in Chattanooga who still offers these. They are fantastic, and worth every penny. It's the only thing I ask for for Father's Day anymore.

Dollar Shave Club is for suckers. It is basically reselling Korean blades (which you can buy more cheaply on Amazon) through an American brand name because men are brand whores when it comes to consumables.

I buy it every other month.

It's just easier and it equates to like 5 bucks a month and I don't have to order. I've been pleased.

I'm glad I finally grew a beard last winter. Face feels so much better in the cold months without shaving.

For those with a beard, here's something similar to the $1 shave club. I haven't tried it yet.
