Black people don't drink coffee?

I had no idea this was a thing. Black folks of OT: is this for real?

My parents do, but I don't. Its just an untrue blanket statement, like most stereotypes.

i thought the point of stereotypes is that they are mostly true, but unfairly used.

i.e. Black folk like fried chicken.... who doesn't like fried chicken?

asians run nail salons.... well... they do run a lot of nail salons.

Mexicans just do roofing and yard work.... they are some of the hardest workers at menial tasks and thus do those things well.

Come to think of it, I've never seen a non-Asian nail salon . . .

How about a non-Asian Asian restaurant? Or a Mexican restaurant for that matter. Can white/black people not make good sesame chicken? A chimichanga?

I used to work for a soft drink company as a customer rep. I had two rural towns on my route that were about the same size (both small) and located about 20 miles from each other. One town was 90% white the other town was about 90% black.

The white town would consume every damn bottle of Mountain Dew I could put into their little gas station. The black town would have Mountain Dew sit there until it went out of date or until I rotated it out of the store. But overall soft drink sales were comparable.

Terribly small sample size but I got a kick out of how consistently true this held. I noticed after that it held true in other stores in more urban areas depending upon which demographic was the dominant customer base.

I guess the BBC falls under this category too. I mean, I have one, but I can't account for every black male. I think my youngest nephew does as well.

Magic Johnson owns a bunch of Starbucks.

quote:

On landing the Starbucks deal:

My per capital is some of the highest in the business because I know my customer. In business, you have to be bold. … I went to Seattle to talk to Howard Schultz to bring Starbucks in the inner cities. I told him, ‘Black folk like coffee too…Latinos like coffee too.’ He said ‘We don’t do franchisees,’ and I told him, ‘I’m not here to become one. I’m here to be a partner.’

I can't think of one black person I know that doesn't drink coffee, honestly.

In fact, my best friend, a former Tennessee defensive end from South Chicago, introduced me to the awesomeness of the French Press.

He is greater than Floyd at making deals and racking up the dough.

Anyone who brags and says they have a big penis on the Internet, most certainly doesn't.
