Alabama fan in Dawson County. We're considered part of the metro now.

Wow, that's a pretty far drive to Atlanta.

It's not that far. If there isn't traffic on 400 it can be made in under an hour.

Pretty much this. Gwinnett County is more dangerous than the city of Atlanta.

when cpt herb gives traffic reports for your area, you are metro, regardless of distance. dawson, yes.

I lived there for 4 years (MP), I only ever knew 1 other UGA fan (all the way over in JI).
I watched the UGA-USCe game at Wild Wing MP once... guess how many UGA fans were there?
How long ago? Charleston's changed A LOT in the last 5-10 years. Hell even over the last 1 or two.
Haha WWMtP is the Gamecock bar for MtP. Can't believe you watched a UGA/USC game there as a UGA fan. Was Home Team on Sullivan's around? That's a UGA bar. Great, great gameday atmosphere w/ fans from all over the SEC. A new place that opened downtown, The Alley (similar to a Lucky Strike bowling alley) is the downtown UGA bar. Watched the SEC Championship there. Very fun.
I live downtown so can't speak much on the fans on JI or MtP, but many many UGA grads come to MUSC, CSOL or the Citadel/CofC grad programs. UGA has a very strong presence here downtown.

Lilburn is probably the worst part of Gwinnett.

I don't live here on a permanent basis, but the people at the Best Western Inn Plus at the Peachtrees know me by name and car.

OK, I should have said parts of Gwinnett County.
Gwinnett is where the Messican gangs are. Messican gangs are far more scary than black gangs. Drug cartels work out of Gwinnett too.
My bad.

Gwinnett is the largest county in the state, it's very sprawly. One part is cowfields, the other part is Mexican drug cartels and tire fires.
The Sugarloaf area mentioned previously, in Gwinnett, is really the only nice area, very very nice... mansions and athletes and CEO's etc, in one tiny little spot in the whole county.

No it isn't. Gainesville... or is that Hall county?
Mexican drug gangs in that area... lots of chicken farming, migrant labor, have children, children grow up to be in Mexican gangs.
