Redbox says I returned a movie that I didn't

It's with a card. We used a promo code so it was a free rental, but they still take your card number in case you don't return it.

But I figured if they came after me I could show them the email they sent me saying it was returned.

I tried googling but all I could find was "Redbox says I didn't return a movie that I did."

Morally I suppose you ought to return it. Having said that I would be wary of that because if their tracking system is jacked up and you return it, they may come looking for money later. I would contact them and tell them of the error and see waht they want you to do.

Always call and ask. Always. It's so much simpler. 95% of the time, it works out in your favor. And you eliminate doubt.
