I know GF I and II along with Goodfellas are the go to greatest mob movies but there is something about Pacino in Donnie Brasco that always makes me stop and watch that movie if I'm flipping channels and it happens to be on, same with Casino and Pesci, Pesci was born to play mobsters, could you imagine if Joe was 6'2" 230 lbs playing the same characters. , ehh forget about it!

Casino is the best mob movie outside of the Godfather franchise. If you disagree, go back and watch it if you have 3 hours to spare. Casino was awesome.

I watched Casino no less than 40 times. I've watched Goodfellas no less than 50 times. Both are absolutely incredible films that are classics. In my opinion, Goodfellas is the best film ever.

Mob - more generic
Mafia - just Italian

Nobody is mentioning any of the european mob movies

Guy Ritchie did 3 good ones
1) Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
2) Snatch
3) RocknRolla

Here are some others
1) The Krays - based on the real Kray brothers
2) Get Carter - original form the 70's, not the Mel Gibson remake
3) The Italian Job - the original from the 60's, not the recent remake

This. Byrne & Finney were great in that one!

I also liked Road To Perdition quite a bit...
