How do you not get into Ole miss or Miss St? I thought the state required that they couldn't raise their requirements above 2.0?

I knew a guy from my high school who got into Ole Miss with a 1.5. He said entering his junior year, he had a 0.0 which is pretty fricking hard at a private school. He said he literally did no work the first two years. And he ended up graduating with honors at ole miss.

It's basically out of state applicants that bring down the acceptance rates.

MSU really gets hurt because they just aren't as appealing to out of state students so their numbers skew heavily toward the fact that they basically have to accept every Mississippian with a pulse and a high school diploma.

Ole Miss gets a lot of out of state applicants and has been raising the requirements for out of state students over the years so it pushes that acceptance rate number down even though they still have to accept every Mississippian with a pulse and a diploma.

Not knocling Auburn at all because it has a very solid reputation but don't pretend that Auburn is above also taking marginal students as well.

Both schools have football players.
