Pie in the sky bs. Just another crutch like a brain numbing drug. If it works for you keep ahooting up.

It looks awful, prayers def sent
I'm wondering how it's gonna be when it gets down to Memphis, for whatever reason it's usually not quite as bad by the time the water gets there. The bluff doesn't hurt the immediate downtown area

Here is a pic of the river and floodwall in Cape Girardeau... Water has never topped the floodwall. Normally, most of the area shown is a river front park. Without that wall, the downtown area would be trashed. The drydock is about 8-10 feet under water. They think it's peaking today, and is supposed to be record-setting. Lots of people are stranded because of roads being under water.

Was about a 5 minute drive from my house. I promise that there's an exit ramp just to the right of the highway. What's crazy is, 5:00 one night and there was water, but you could get through. By the next morning, it was like this.

5 minutes? I used to live on Worthy Court before moving to Eureka.

That's just crazy, reedus. Unreal. I have a couple of friends around Cape that are cut off, can only get to their house by boat. They're worried about the levees holding on the Illinois side. It'll get worse further south because the Ohio is flooded too. Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana... Get ready.

The flooding there is record-setting. It's a disaster - seriously, not just a declared one. 1993 was considered the benchmark for flood disasters, and this one is worse. Some rivers are cresting several feet above 1993 levels, and the Mississippi is forecast to top 1993's 48.5 record at 50 feet when it crests in my hometown. It's bad, in Illinois as well. 14 people have died already, property damage is astronomical, and it's not close to over. Please keep the people fighting the floods in your prayers on this NYE.
Happy New Year, eFrands!
We went through it here in SC just a few months ago and it was devastating to many.
Here's to the people in Missouri right now ... I donated to their flood relief program just a little while ago. These were the same people I donated to after Katrina ... but we were able, back then, to load-up a couple of trailers of food and equipment and drive down there, to Mississippi and NOLA - that was before I sold the restaurants.
These people though, they'll take donations and do good work with it ... https://www.samaritanspurse.org/article/samaritans-purse-responding-to-christmastime-storms/?utm_source=Ggl&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=m_YGND-015V_GGLDec-2015-Storms
