I've got a pit bull we saved six years ago sitting at my feet right now ... she's part of the family.
We rescued huskies for years - placed over 100 and kept twenty something more. Rescued a few border collies over the years too. My very elderly mother rescued dogs her entire life ... around here they used to call her "The Dog Lady" and claim she conservatively rescued several thousand dogs in her lifetime ... with Dad's help.
Those pictures you posted, I'm going to send them to all of my family members now.
