Pecan - Pe-KAN or Pah-KAHN?

I tease my wife (grew up near Syracuse) when she says "pecan" like pee-can, while I say "pecan" like saying pah-kahn.
So, curious - how do you say it, and be honest - where are you from?
Stupid question, I know, but I found it amusing.

Pee (like the bodily function) - Can (like what a soda comes in)

Pah-Kahn is the correct way to say it. Only a damned yankee says pee-can.
Source: I'm a Texan, and our state tree is Pecan.

I feel like anyone who says PEE-Can is just trying too hard to be southern. Same goes for people under 40 who say crick, holler, supper, etc. MF'er you aren't 90 and you didn't grow up on a dirt farm, quit saying crick.

Pah-kahn, from central Alabama. My grandparents had a pecan orchard. Spent many a thanksgiving break picking up pecans.
I don't use crick, but do use hollar and supper. Will even occasionally call lunch "dinner."

Well that would be stupid since that's the Yankee way of saying it.

Supper is still very common. I don't use it but a lot of people still do.

me too.
I say everything the way WG was bitching about, I am under 40, and frequently call lunch "dinner"
Supper is supper and frick all you uppity frickers with the same silver spoon that was present in your asses the day y'all were born.
JK
I am guilty of all of that though....except crick
