Alabama also has a ridiculous number of HBCUs. Tuskegee and Alabama St are fairly close to Auburn.

Mississippi has three HBCUs yet both State and Ole Miss have the highest percentages of African American enrollment in the SEC. We also have half the population.

Every time you see it on TV the stadium does look heavily Caucasian. Why is this?

That's because it's ridiculously easy to get in to State and OM because of a ruling by y'alls Supreme Court.

Probably drops well below that if you exclude athletes.

With the frats, sororities, and additional clubs out there, I struggle to believe this.

All schools have some racism but OM is still tops. I mean you guys started a modern chant of "The South Will Rise Again." It's not like that was a long tradition. Your student section started it in the 2000's.

You need to put down the pipe. Clearly their academic standards may be higher then other SEC schools and this probably has a lot to do with it. Other schools not named Vandy

Can you explain what you are saying? I'm missing something I think.

Only 58% of incoming students in 2011 were white. 11% were black.

I'm not sure what stats the auburnphanpansie got his/her stats but it was probably something he/she read on his/her lollipop wrapper.

Just adds to the Northern Atlanta Suburb feel of Auburn.

cheering Laquon's injury

Cheering a game winning stop against an absurdly overrated team is not cheering an injury.

But 7% of the student body at $180,000 a pop certainly explains Auburn's budget issues.

Alabama has close to 10 HBCUs. Missippi also has the highest percentage of blacks in the country. Alabama has about 26% blacks while Missippi is well over 30%. Also Bama and Auburn have higher academic requirements.

I think ALL of the "{Inset SEC University name} is racist" is silliness.

And, to try and prove one side or the other via mathematical equations compounds the silliness.

While on the subject:

I believe we give the word "neeger" too much power by insisting it never be used.

We weaken the word "racist" by using it too much.

Its backwards.

I've often wondered about the low enrolment for black students at Auburn. I think Tuskegee and Alabama State hurt enrolment some along with the high academic requirements.

Absurdly overrated? You mean the team that after you beat, you stormed the field? The same one?

If I recall correctly Alabama is almost 95% white so it makes sense that Auburn's black population is so low. At least they aren't resorting to Wisconsin type tricks:
