This is nothing new. College students have been opinionating, protesting, rabble-rousing, and getting into drunken fisticuffs over obscure philosophies since, well, forever. The only thing that has changed is they no longer demand more cakes and ale. And that's a damned shame because I do love me some cakes and ale.

What most people don't understand is that all this shite has nothing to do with being offended and EVERYTHING to do with exercising de facto veto power. University presidents need to go ahead and call their bluff. Get a bunch of walk-ons and cancel scholarships. Can't give in to this mob shite.

If I am a University President, I FORCE the BOR to officially fire me and state publicly that they gave in, Bolshevik style. I cancel all scholarships and kick all those students out of school on the way out. Then burn everything down. Going out in a blaze of glory.
