I've been largely absent from the NBA circle around here this year but now that I'm finally settled in at my house and new job I'm about to be balls deep in nba action.
If none of the top 5 guys are available when we pick I want us to take Smart. Having a young athletic talented PG to pair with Kobe is like something from a dream. I only want us to trade that pick if it's for KLove or Irving/Wall.

I agree. I'm not as high on Aaron Gordon like all the other Celtic fans seem to be. I do want Doug McDermott at #17 though.

Out of these top like 8 guys or so, I think he is going to be the worst one for some reason. I just don't get the appeal to his game.

Exact same feeling I have. I think that Smart is gonna surprise some people and that Randle will struggle.
Embiid just has to take his time coming back.

Gordon also doesn't seem to make much sense because of Olynk and Sullinger.

People look at him and see Blake Griffin from 3 years ago. I don't think he's as explosive athletically as Blake but I think he's a better defender coming out of college. Offensively they are about the same. Meh..
I wouldn't plan on building around this guy but I could see Boston taking him to pair him with Rondo.

That is who a lot of people compare him too. Could just be his skin color.
If we don't trade it for Love, I don't mind picking him there either.

They went and found the actual tweet on the radio today to figure out why he tweeted it.
It was apparently during a Clippers/Grizz game last year. Chris Paul had like 17 points in the first half and had been to the free throw line 7 times
