I got one at Crawfish Boil in Bham a month before I turned 21. You can expect to pay court costs, a small fine, and worst case they suspend your license until you do a small amount of community service which you will be able to do back home
ETA:
I was also on probation for possession of marijuana and got that case sent back to court where I failed a drug test and ended up in county jail for 5 days. I essentially got locked up for 2 grams of weed and 1 beer. but you'll be good

Why were you not cleaning the beach?

You need explosives and an ar15. Go to courthouse. You know what to do

an ar15
frick that, unless you have a modified AR-15 with a collapsible stock it is to cumbersome to clear rooms properly by yourself. If you are poor, go with a new M-4 short barrel with collapsible stock. If you gotsum cash, spring for an MP-5. Don't forget extra mags and a side arm. I am an H&K loyalist so a USPK sub compact 9mm would be perfect because it in the same caliber as the MP-5.
And remember count your rounds so you know when to change mags and 2 to the head 1 to the chest always works best!

That's the wrong attitude to have to get out of a ticket then.

Btw just check with Mrs ABears....the fine was $300

$300 isn't so bad I guess

He could just go home and avoid going to florida for a while. Then just send them some money in a few years. I had a friend do this with a ticket in Alabama
That's really some bad advice. When you don't pay that ticket or show up, the court will issue a FTA (failure to appear) warrant for your arrest.
That's not too big of a deal as long as you don't go back to the state because misdemeanors don't get extridited. The big deal comes when you try to renew your driver's license. That unpaid ticket's going to come up and it is going to be a big nope. At that point, you've got to address it, which may mean simply paying a lot more money than the ticket originally cost but it may also mean (depending on how big of a hardass the judge is) a mandatory appearance in court and maybe even a few days in jail.

I don't know if that renewing license bit is true everywhere, maybe in a few states but I know several people who have dodged court and have had FTA warrants w/o issue. They just can't go back to that state without being really careful.
Hell, I had one subordinate who had a warrant out for domestic abuse in NC and went for nearly a decade without knowing (he says he didn't know and I believe him) and only got caught when he was pulled over for speeding while visiting family in NC. He made it through a federal background check and several license renewals with that warrant somehow.
ETA: OP, don't let my stupid anecdotes influence you. Handle your shite and nip it in the bud. It's small potatoes.

I didn't say it was the smart thing to do, just that it was an option if i he didn't want to drop whatever it would cost right now. I would guess he doesn't go back to florida often. So until he needs to renew it wouldn't be a major deal. Then he could pay it off later. They really just want their money

So I just got a minor in possession for having an empty beer can in panama city beach. I have to go to spring break court tomorrow. What kind fine or anything can I expect? All advice is appreciated.
Same shite for me, but it was 15+ years ago.
Judge has all the muthafrickas in one courtroom.
He says anyone want to fight it, go in the door on the left.
Anyone want to Nolo will have it exponged from their record go in the door on the right.
I went with most other people to the door on the right.
I spent a day picking up trash on the side of the highway in orange jacket.

If you leave PCB without paying it wont really be an issue because I doubt PCBPD will extradite on a minor Failure to Appear warrant like that.
But if you ever apply for a job where a criminal background check is involved than it will probably show that you have an outstanding warrant for your arrest.

A simple warrant isn't at all but I'm Pretty sure it is universal or almost universal for a driving offense/unpaid ticket or DUI if the issuing court follows up on it.
As anectdotal evidence, My office phone number is almost identical to the one folks who got a ticket in Alabama and chose poorly. We get several accidental calls a week from all over the US from people who can not renew in their state because of an unpaid Alabama ticket. They always start with "I'm from soandso and I got a ticket in Alabama a couple of years ago...."

They have an Air Force base there. You're going to need to sneak into it, there is a jet you can steal. Don't let them take your money, it's your responsibility to fight for your rights.

Do you have any friends that are lay preachers or preachers at a church/synagogue/etc. (particularly the type that thinks having to do community service for a charge like this is over the top)? If so, they might be persuaded to sign-off on your community service hours. You'd still have to check with your probation officer to see if they/the organization qualifies but most religious affiliated people/orgs do. Not that I would know anything about that...
