If you get a chance watch Lynch's 'Eraserhead'. Very bizarre.

It really is, but it's a great movie.

The Shining - the 2 creepy little twin girls in the hallway. Plus I was about Danny's age at the time I first saw the movie a couple of years after it came out.

Poltergeist - most of the movie but particularly the clown doll scene.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original) - oddly enough I just randomly had a bad dream last night related to this movie. It's a recurring dream I've had off and on for many years.

Twilight Zone the Movie - the creepy cartoon house segment

P.S. I also have to include the book "Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark". I know that's not a movie but the stories and especially the creepy artwork in that book deserve special mention.

Was I seriously the only one who didn't want to go into the Ocean after Jaws?

Jaws got me good. :(

Nope

Gotta be honest, it did scare me a bit when I first saw it. Every Saturday, part of my boxing training routine included a 2 mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico, I was terrified the whole time for months.

JAWS what was it 1975 or so, family went too Hilton Head island the next week and nobody would get into the swimming pool much less the ocean.

Just had to do some deeper reading. My ma' is from Florida and said the beaches were flat out deserted.

Nightmare on Elm Street.

I was maybe 5. My babysitter's son made me watch it with him, and then he proceeded to chase me around his house with one of these things:

I was scared shitless of that movie for about 6 or 7 years. Ironically, it's now one of my favorite horror movies (the original, the sequels sucked arse).

I'm going old skool on you frickers.

Made the mistake of watching "Hush ... Hush, Sweet Charlotte" as a five year old.

Creepy as frick and a decapitated head bounces down a stair case early on.

Still mad at my parents for letting me watch that one.

Anything from new school? Sinister scared me until the metaphysics.

Serial killers have always been scarier than ghosts and demons for me.

"Terror In the Aisles" freaked me out as a kid. It was basically a documentary about all the great horror films of the past and present. It was very well produced with the creepy narrator from the most recent Twilight Zone movies. It came out in the mid 80s and had scenes from all the classic horror films up to that point.

Not really. Flying monkeys scared the frick out of me (old skool).

The explorers getting lost in the jungle in the VERY OLD King Kong movie made me hide behind the couch (old skool).

The banshee from Darby O'Gill and The Little People did me no favors (still old skool).

Westworld - with Yul Brenner - really messed with my head (old skool).

I guess the only recent movie that spooked me was 'Signs' the first time I saw it.

The second time I saw 'Signs' I realized how stupid it was.

Well, Congo or Kongo, can't remember which and can't be bothered to Google it -- made me the hate the hell out of gorillas.

King Kong didn't do nothin' for me, none of 'em.
